The Shadow Dragon Clan
Climate/Terrain: Subterranean, Usually in the Underdark
Common Races: Drow (dark elves), Duergar (gray dwarves), Svirfneblin (deep gnomes), Orcs
Alignment: Almost even split between Chaotic and Lawful
Culture/Religion: The shadows serve as both tools and homes to the shadow dragon clan. Members are taught to stay in the shadows and out of sight of outsiders at all times. Because of this, the shadow clan is merely a rumor to all but a few in the world. Although they rarely speak to outsiders, there have been a few occurrences of members being employed as spies and assassins by those factions willing to seek them out at the risk of being killed on arrival. Members of the clan are forced through a rite of passage of sorts at the age of seventeen. They are sent into the Shadow Fringe by shamans, and if they survive, are pulled back out a week later.
